Aventurine The name Aventurine comes from the Italian word “a ventura”, which means “by chance “. Aventurine is a variety of quartz, belonging to the group of silicate mineral and it often contains inclusions of different minerals such as Fuchsite, Hematite, Lepidolite and Muscovite, which give different colours to Aventurine. The Aventurine is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and hardness of 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale. It can be found in different countries including India, Brazil, Tanzania, Austria, Spain, Chile and Russia.
Crystal Quartz The name of this mineral derives from the Greek word “xalaza”, which means hail, due to the fact that in ancient times many people believed that it is solidified water. It is a silicate mineral that belongs to the group of the tectosilicate minerals. Crystal quartz is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. Crystal quartz can be found in various countries, including Brazil, the USA, Sri Lanka, India and Madagascar.
