STONE DETAILS
The name “moonstone” was given to this mineral because it appears a floating light, which resembles the glow of the moon through a thin cloud cover. Moonstone is a silicate mineral with the hardness of 6-6.5 on the Mohs scale and it can occur in different colors such as white, grey, brown-peach and green. Moonstone is derived from various countries, including Sri Lank, Brazil, Australia, the USA, India and Madagascar.
