Fluorite:
Fluorite takes its name from the Latin word “fluor”, which means “flow”, due to its use in reducing the melting temperature of metals. It is a calcium fluoride mineral with the chemical formula CaF_2, belonging to the category of halide minerals. Fluorite displays a variety of colours often in bands. It is characterized by the isometric crystal system and the hardness of 4 on the Mohs scale. Fluorite is mined in various countries around the world, including China, Canada, Tanzania, South Africa, Mexico, Argentina, Mongolia, Korea, Pakistan and the USA.

Barite:
The name “Barite” comes from the ancient Greek word “barys”, which means “heavy” because of the high specific gravity of the mineral. Barite is a sulphate mineral, characterized by an orthorhombic crystallization system and a hardness of 3-3.5 on the Mohs scale. This particular structure allows it to have an impressive appearance and a variety of colors. Barite comes from various countries, such as Iran, Brazil, China, India, Thailand, Russia, Russia, the USA, Mexico, Turkey and Morocco.
