Apatite The word Apatite comes from the Greek “απατώ” (fraud) because it is often amalgamated with other minerals. Apatite is a phosphoric calcite, characterized by a hexagonal crystal system and the hardness of 5 on the Mohs scale. Apatite can be found in many countries, including Brazil, USA, India Sri Lanka, Pakistan Africa and Mexico.

Hematite The name is derived from the Greek word “blood”, due to the red coloration that some varieties of Hematite exhibit. It is a mineral of iron with a chemical molecular formula Fe2O3 , characterized by a hardness of 5-6.5 on the Mohs scale and a triangular crystallization system. Hematite can be found in several countries, some of which are Brazil, Australia, USA and New Zealand.
