STONE DETAILS
The word Hematite comes from the Greek word “aima” which means Blood, due to the red coloration found in some varieties of Hematite. It is an Iron Oxide, which is characterized by the hexagonal crystal system and the hardness of 5.5-6.5 on the Mohs scale. Hematite can be found in various countries, including Brazil, the USA, Australia, and New Zealand.
