Calcite:
Its name derives from the German word “Calcit”, which created by the Latin word “calx”, that means lime as it is the main ingredient in limestone. Calcite belongs to the category of carbonate minerals and its chemical formula is CaCO₃. It is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 3 on the Mohs scale. Calcite can be found in many countries, including Brazil, Germany, England, China, Canada, the USA, Russia, Mexico, Romania and Pakistan.

Barite:
The name “Barite” comes from the ancient Greek word “barys”, which means “heavy” because of the high specific gravity of the mineral. Barite is a sulphate mineral, characterized by an orthorhombic crystallization system and a hardness of 3-3.5 on the Mohs scale. This particular structure allows it to have an impressive appearance and a variety of colors. Barite comes from various countries, such as Iran, Brazil, China, India, Thailand, Russia, Russia, the USA, Mexico, Turkey and Morocco.
