Tiger Eye This stone takes its name from its colour and iridescence which resemble that of a cat’s eye. Tiger Eye is a silicon, which belongs to the quartz family, and has a mobile reflection. The iridescent stripe has a golden yellow colour, and the colour of the stone depends on different inclusions. It is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 6,5-7 on the Mohs scale. This stone can be found in different countries such as S. Africa, India, China and Burma.
Hematite Hematite comes from the Greek word “aima” which means Blood and it is an Iron Oxide. It is characterized by a hexagonal crystal system and a hardness of 6 on the Mohs scale. Hematite can be found in various countries, including Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand.
