The name Aventurine comes from the Italian word “a ventura”, which means “by chance “. Aventurine is a variety of quartz, belonging to the group of silicate mineral and it often contains inclusions of different minerals such as Fuchsite, Hematite, Lepidolite and Muscovite, which give different colours to Aventurine. The Aventurine is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and hardness of 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale. It can be found in different countries including India, Brazil, Tanzania, Austria, Spain, Chile and Russia.
