STONE DETAILS

Rose Quartz The name of this mineral was given to it due to the pink color which ranges through all the pinks of the Kaleidoscope. Rose quartz is a silicon dioxide of the Quartz family. It is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. Rose quartz can be found in different countries including Africa, Brazil, Madagascar, England, Scotland, Australia, Canada, India and the USA.

Amethyst The word Amethyst has its origins in the Greek words “a” and “methw” Not Intoxicated, as in years gone by, it was believed that Amethyst protected against drunkenness. Amethyst belongs to the quartz family and it is a silicate mineral with a chemical formula SiO₂. Its color is due to the presence of iron. Amethyst is characterized by the trigonal crystal system and the hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. Amethyst is derived mostly from Brazil and Uruguay.
